Real-Time Billing
Call Detail Records are available to a HostedSwitch® member within seconds after a call's completion.
Call Detail Records (CDRs)
Call Detail Record is the information regarding a single call passed through HostedSwitch®. CDR contains the following attributes:
- Date
- Phone#
- Region (Destination)
- Customer
- IP addresses
- Billed amount
- Duration
- Codecs
- Reasons for disconnection etc.
There are 3 main types of CDR reports at HostedSwitch®:
- includes only records of successfully connected calls
- includes only records of failed calls
- Aggregate
- provides overall aggregated statistics, profit and quality analysis

CDRs Export
There are two ways of exporting your CDRs from HostedSwitch®:
Profit Analysis
In order to estimate your profits/profit margin per route, customer, destination etc.
- Enter CDRs
- Select Aggregate report type
- Check "Profit" and "Profit,%" checkboxes
- Set Date, Route, Customer and other filters (if necessary)

Customizable Rounding Option
In order to set up per-second, per-minute or any other billing, change Billing Settings (Grace Period, Min Duration, Billing Increment) while creating or editing routes:
Customer Billing
Enabling Customer Invoices
Invoice contains information about start balance, end balance, payments, amounts billed for origination and termination. Invoices can be generated automatically.
To enable invoices for a customer
- Go to "Customers" tab
- Click “Search” to view the list of customers. Use search fields (Customer, Status) to narrow down search results
- Click on a customer's “Customer Description"
- Specify Invoice Period
- Click “Submit” to confirm changes

Customizing Customer Invoices
The following sections of Customer Invoice can be customized:
- Invoice Period
- 1/2 Month
- Every Month
- Every 2 Months
- Weekly on Monday (Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday)
- Every day (2 days, 3 days, 4 days, 5 days, 6 days)
- Invoice Details
- High
- High, hide totals
- Low
- Low, hide totals
- Invoice Type
- Full Common Invoice
- Show only traffic differences
- Show only origination values
- Show only termination values
- Autosending
- Never
- Always
- If any traffic billed
- If any origination traffic billed
- If any termination traffic billed
- Invoice Header/Footer
- Option to attach Payment Details

Accounting
HostedSwitch® provides flexible and convenient tools to manage your customers. In "Accounting" tab you can get all information about payments.
Fields “From”, “Till” and “Customer” serve to specify time period and customer name.
You can also add a payment:
- Click “Add”
- Select a customer, fill in "Amount", "Description", and "Payment From" (if you select “Customer” this means the money will be added to a customer’s balance, if you choose “HS*****”, the money will be charged off a customer's balance)
- Submit and Confirm

Viewing Generated Invoices
All generated invoices can be view at Invoices tab. To see any of them
- Specify time period or select a customer
- Click “Search”
To view the invoice click on PDF icon (right column).
Prepaid / Postpaid Customer Management
Prepaid Customer Management
- Set up Customer's Credit Limit to 0
- Enter Customer's Payment in Accounting section whenever your company receives prepayment
Postpaid Customer Management
- Set up Customer's Credit Limit as agreed with customer
- Enter Customer's Payment in Account section whenever your company receives postpayment
Note: Money is charged from Customer's balance when Customer originates a call, money is added to Customer's balance when Customer terminates a call.
Role-based Access (Rights & Roles)
You can provide your employees with access to your HostedSwitch® account based on their roles, such as:
- Sales Manager
- Support Engineer
- Billing Manager
- Account Supervisor
Moreover, for each employee you can specify what sections of the site he/she can access (read) and modify (write):
